Questions
Do I need special boots?
No. Any winter or hiking boot works, from women's 7–15 and men's 7.5–14. The hook & loop binding wraps snugly around most boot shapes.
Will they work in deep snow?
On packed trails and hardpack, the Eva supports up to 300 lb. In fresh powder it supports up to 175 lb. If you plan to break trail in deep snow often, choose an aluminum snowshoe.
Can I run in them?
You can, but for a more natural stride we recommend the narrower Eco Eva for running.
Will they grip on ice?
Rubber lugs grip packed snow, and 6 ice spikes per shoe bite into hardpack and icy patches when you're climbing, descending or crossing a slope.
What's the difference between the Eva and the Eco Eva?
The Eva is a bit bigger (24" vs 22") and carries more weight (300 lb vs 250 lb on trail), with a dual-density deck. The Eco Eva is lighter (2.5 lb a pair) and made with biodegradable foam.
How long do they last?
The dual-density foam is flexible and very durable, and it's backed by our 3-year warranty. When they're finally worn out, you can recycle them through athletic-shoe recycling programs.
